Our Mission

Our Mission

Community Bridges is a nonprofit organization serving all of Maricopa County by providing a continuum of care that begins with prevention and continues for individuals and families through treatment and recovery. Our mission is to provide the highest quality clinical treatment with a focus on family preservation, community development, and prevention and education services which will assist communities in reducing crime, lowering health care costs, decreasing dependence on welfare and minimizing the "revolving door" use of scarce public resources.

Our clinical programs offer substance use disorder and behavioral health services to homeless, indigent, and working poor adults. Community Bridges also provides a full spectrum of prevention, education, and training services in schools, public and private hospitals, police/fire departments and judicial environments within Maricopa County.

.

Over the past twenty years, Community Bridges programs have impacted over 500,000 men, women, and children in our community.

Community Bridges is the sole state funded, behavioral health provider of medical detoxification services to the homeless in Maricopa County.

Our agency was incorporated as a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in 1982 as the East Valley Council (EVAC) and changed our name to Community Bridges in 2002. All of our services are licensed by the Arizona Department of Health, Division of Behavioral Health Licensure and the National Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Community Bridges currently has five operating locations in Maricopa County with over 135 full-time employees comprised of doctors, nurses, clinical support staff, administrative, operations and education personnel.
